Lutein, like zeaxanthin, are carotenoids naturally occurring in plants and in the retina of the eye. In the body, lutein is one of the predominant pigments concentrated in the macula inside the eye, the area responsible for central vision and visual acuity. The functional role of lutein in these sensitive tissues is to protect against the formation of free radicals.
Lutein Max - a dietary supplement, contains a high amount of natural lutein (25 mg) and zeaxanthin (5 mg) in one capsule obtained from the flowers of the rose marigold. Lutein and zeaxanthin dissolve in fats very well, so we dissolved it in sunflower oil to make it better absorbed by the body.
